JULIA Pierre
Born in 1949 in Rabat (Morocco), lives and works in Paris.
After an adolescence spent in different landscapes, rich in colors, nuances, light, returned to France and decided to undertake an artistic training.
In 1970, School of Fine Arts of Rouen in order to prepare the diploma of advertising and complementary studies on the history of Art.
Through his studies, Pierre Julia discovered the world of painting and watercolour. Initially influenced by the painter Folon, works this technique as an autodidact in order to find its mode of expression.
As for his painting, very influenced by the hyperrealists and the surrealists, as well as photography for his inspiration, his work is based on the exchange with the other. Gradually detaching himself from these techniques, he discovers through various travels in the world, his source of inspiration which is calligraphy. Spontaneous and gestural painting.
Apart from different places, his first exhibition took place in 1995 at the Town Hall of the 9th arrondissement.
Any colored space, sound, climate, movement, are the expression of the soul translated by the brush.
