My current works are situated in a formalism of a generally abstract type with more or less realistic figurative allusions.

Some of these canvases are constructed with touches of color and materials that are more or less faded or evanescent, in successive layers, playing on their transparencies. The goal is to suggest a space to dream or imagine.

Other canvases are worked more with the evocative force of colors, which we prefer, and the repetitiveness of shapes and expressive signs. Here, the techniques of oil paintings combine with those of acrylic to increase the intensity of the visual expression.

“It is the passion at the heart of Nam-Trân's paintings: abundances of red, gold, black, like banners. The colors merge with the symbols, telling us the journey of its origins. Matter takes shape like a torrent of lava. (Yves Sanz)
