Alexandre Taillandier, French contemporary artist, readily defines himself as a deconstructor of timelessness.

He is an attentive "watcher" of the contemporary world (its excesses, its contradictions, its violence), he immerses himself in it, and transcribes it through his explosive pictorial compositions which sometimes send us back to fragility of our lives... His works tell us stories, fragments of life,  that he  should reconstruct by bits of mixed information.

Alexandre Taillandier does not look directly at society, he rather looks at it through his own collages, and this mass of raw material that he never stops amassing European (posters of all kinds collected in particular in Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam...).

So it can take him several years to amass the sum of materials necessary for the development of a de his paintings...

Alexandre Taillandier was  sensitized very early on to urban culture  in all its forms (graffiti, performances, places), his creations consequently emanate from these diverse and varied influences, on the border between abstraction and figuration.  This is the reason why he has frequently called his work figurative abstraction, a term he still uses today.

It has now been more  than 10 years that he continues to challenge our imagination through his creations...
