Jean-Pierre LORAND

Born in Valenciennes in 1939, Jean-Pierre Lorand lives in Brussels.
Initially an advertising designer, he approached his style of painting as an autodidact. Classified as a painter of poetic reality by the critic Stéphane Rey, he has exhibited since 1977, in Belgium and abroad.
Jean-Pierre Lorand plunges the viewer into an atmosphere of poetry and serenity. With a consummate art of composition, he transports us through time and space. His works appear in many collections as well as in several illustrated books on Naïve Art.
